ABOUT

Rodfei Tsedek is a network of Jewish social justice activists across Europe. We empower and educate current and future leaders of Jewish communities in Europe, with a major goal being to build European societies informed by compassion, equality, and justice. 

​

We are a diverse community that spans Jews of varied backgrounds, perspectives and generations. Members are based in many and varied European countries.  What we share is the desire to make a real impact on issues such as welcoming refugees and other immigrants, educating for economic justice and against racism, climate change, and more.

By connecting Jewish justice activists across Europe, we strengthen everybody’s voice and learn from one another how to have a real and lasting impact on local communities.

Rodfei Tsedek aims to revitalize the culture of solidarity central to Jewish teaching and culture in so many parts of the world. Jewish communities in Europe have been greatly diminished since World War II, and unfortunately in much of Europe a deep-seated prejudice against Jews can still be felt today. But these same prejudices faced Jews and Jewish communities in the USA and the UK and other places a century or more ago. It was the Jewish communities themselves who had to declare “this is where I belong” and make themselves an integral and integrated part of society in these places. In so doing, Jews have been at the forefront of American and British movements of solidarity since the 1950s, if not earlier. Rodfei Tsedek seeks to build the same culture into Jewish communities in Europe, and in so doing seeks to strengthen movements of solidarity throughout the European continent.
